Two Summit Pointe students win statewide contest
Two Summit Pointe Elementary fifth graders were among the winners announced by the Missouri Association of School Librarians (MASL) for the annual Mark Twain Book Trailer contest.
Makayla Chasser won for her trailer about One Kid's Trash
Grace Herrera won for her trailer about The Lion of Mars
Every year, students can submit a trailer for one of the Mark Twain award nominees to encourage their peers to read the books. Both Makayla and Grace collaborated with SPE's librarian Kim Rues and their teachers to create the book trailers.
You can see the full list of winners of MASL's website.
